  • Including difficulties with speech continuity, smoothness, rate, and effort in speech production.

  • Inclusive of dysarthria, ataxia, aphasia, dyspraxia and apraxia of speech.

  • Inclusive of speech delays, foundational works for speech, language and social communication skills.

  • Involving pronunciation, articulation and phonological awareness. 

  • Including sentence composition, grammar and comprehension.

  • This refers to delays relating to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Global Developmental Delay and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). We also offer our services to many other complex speech and language difficulties. 

  • People with Autism may have challenges with social skills and communication development. They may find it difficult to engage in conversations or identify social cues. Some people with Autism may have great verbal language, some may have limited verbal language and some may have no verbal language at all. Autism is a complex condition and will vary across all individuals with the condition.

  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a condition that effects the executive functioning area of the brain (frontal lobe). This part of the brain is responsible for coordinating thoughts, actions and planning. ADHD can impact a persons ability to maintain attention, produce speech, process language and develop appropriate pragmatic skills. Speech Pathologists can assist in further developing a persons skills in the listed areas above, and provide them with strategies to help them participate in the community.
